Moss: Didn't know about the 1910 fire; that explains why I only got a marriage date on Ellen & James of abt. 1880. However, I do have "m. in Adams Co. by Rev. Leroy Lucas, Matilda (Ellen)'s 1st cousin-law" which I assume means cousin-in-law. I have no knowledge of what paper the obit was in but I was assume that it was the West Union paper. I also am not sure of which Presbyterian Church; however, in checking on the Adams Co. website that your provided, I see a historic landmarks sign of West Union Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. That is "probably" the one. Wonder what kind of records that they have ... she joined there 3 months before her death. Didn't have much on my gr-grandmother's siblings until about a year ago when I was contacted by someone who gave me info as well as some fabulous photos of Ellen's grown children that were raised by this person's ancestor. Again, appreciate anything that you can find in your visit there. I haven't done any hands-on research for about 20 years, mainly because of my 95 year old mother whom I don't want to leave alone for any extended length of time. I do have a couple of Amish clients in Adams Co. who I do their payroll for by mail, one of whom I still have yet to meet in person although I have done his weekly payroll for at least 10 years now. I live in Rush County, Indiana, 100 miles n.e. of Cincinnati; have several Amish clients here. Larry
