Annabel L. Harp

Services for Annabel L. Harp will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Gilbert Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donald B. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery, Hayesville.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Mrs. Harp, 81, of 862 Hoover Drive; died Thursday morning in Samaritan Hospital following a short illness.

Born Dec. 26, 1899, in Danville, she was the daughter of Larwell M. and Mary Catherine Grant Shrimplin. Mrs. Harp had been a resident of Ashland County for 59 years, moving here from Coshocton in 1922. She had been an educator in the Coshocton County School System.

She graduated from Roscoe High School, Coshocton and Kent State Normal College.

Mrs. Harp was a member of First Christian Church of Ashland, the True Blue Sunday School Class and was a former member of Melody Music Club.

She was married Dec. 2, 1922 to Ray M. Harp who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Denbow of Ashland; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Chrisitian Church.
