Update on Edward Ward:

I found Edward in Allegheny County, Maryland married to Margaret Miller in 1825. (Ancestry)

Census: 1850 Mohican Township, Ashland, Ohio Census
Edward Ward age 50 (b. 1800) born MD

I would like to find out where Edward Ward was born and who his parents were. His wife (Margaret Miller) was born either in PA (possibly Washington County) or VA (county unknown) according to the 1850 census

Now, I am not so sure of the Lynchburg, Virginia Connection, although Wheeling West Virginia is along the National Road from Allegheny, Maryland to Columbus.
