At first I thought Eddy Dickerson in Trimble, Athens Co., was short for my Edgar Dickerson and he'd been recorded on 2 census lists. Edgar appears in Trimble about the same age as Eddy a decade later, 1910. Eddy appears to be your Edward. My Enoch Dickerson, father of Edgar, came from Gallia, Jackson, & Hocking. Enoch was son of Enoch, and grandson of John Dickerson and Mary Russell. Mary was daughter of Enoch Russell. Her sister Martha "Patsy" was 1st married to Peter Aleshire, baptist minister of Meigs & Gallia, 2nd to James Wallace of Gallia. I have not been able to associate my John Dickerson to any specific line from NC or VA, but I do not rule out any ties with Meigs.
Hope this helps.
Karen
