I am seeking information concerning Nancy Sue Garrett. She was born in Vancouver WN July 11, 1944 and her parents were Hugh and Geraldine Garrett. The family re-located to Athens and Nancy was abandoned by her mother and father. She was placed in some family care center (foster home, children's home etc) but was taken into the family of a Judge Rose who raised her as a daughter (I'm told).
She met and married Robert Slagle in Athens and they had two children; Amy and Robert. She passed away November of 2007 in Lancaster OH.
She may have had a family connection with John James Garrett of Bedford County Virginia. Mr Garrett was a soldier in the VA infantry during the Civil War. Nancy had a copy of a letter he had written during the war.
I have posted a message on the Vancouver msg board and I will post also on Bedford Co VA.
Any information about Nancy Garrett will be gratefully appreciated by her family
