Sandra, I totally agree about the online ancestral files and IGI, and I have found errors, so blatant, and no way to contact the posters.
I wanted to call them to see if the Nat. Records were indexed. I know my guy did not stay in Ohio and could have applied anywhere. Some of these family members settled and stayed there, but my family, I swear they are gypsies.
I did find possible father (s) for my guy on Footnote, it is a hard read, not like Ancestry.com and not user friendly, though thank goodness they are putting the records online for us.
Yes, I spent many years searching daily, from 7:30 to 3:30, as i knew the clerk and she was cleaning at that early hour. She had health problems and cannot be left alone, so it gave her husband a break. The girls there were very helpful and it is a great service to searchers.
