Thanks Terry, I appreciate the information. I am already a member of the Belmont County website, so I will have to research it a bit more carefully. One of the things that I am stunned about it that it seemed like there were alot of McGarys and Thompsons in the mid to late 1800s and then poof, they were gone. I was never able to find the McGarys in Blaine though, and thats where most of my ggrandfathers siblings were born. I also seen them list Martins Ferry. But thanks for the help. I am going to try and make it out there one of these weekends since I live east of Pittsburgh, its not all that far. Thanks so much for the response.
