Your grandfather died 17 Jan 1921 and Mina said he was born 31 Oct 1872. If your father was born in 1918, his father would have been 45-46 when he was born.

Mina said William was the son of John and Mary nee JORDAN Wilson, both born in Ohio. William was buried 19 Jan 1921 in Ferncliff Cemetery, Springfield.
