Solomon Smith-Catherine Hartsook line 1820's

Does anybody have any info on Solomon Smith who lived in Gallia Co. in the 1820's? They had a daughter Mary born there in 1825. She married Lewis Rupe & moved to Iowa in the 1840's. My gg grandmother Elizabeth Smith was born in
Gallia Co. in 1823, but am not sure who her parents were.
I suspect Mary & Elizabeth were sisters as they ended up in the same township & county in Iowa. Elizabeth named a son Solomon after a family member.
