While this isn't my line I did find some info for you. Lewis Rupe's father was John Henry Rupe born Oct. 20, 1796 in Hanover Co. Virginia. He married Rebecca Lewis Sept. 27, 1821 in Gallia Co. Ohio. He died July 19, 1862 in Wapello Co. Iowa, buried in McIntire Cemetery. Rebecca died July 10, 1897 in Wapello Co. Iowa, buried in McIntire Cemetery. Rebecca was born in New York or New Jersey, exact date not known, but about 1806. I've seen one chart listing her parents as William Aaron & Hannah Lewis. John Henry Rupe's parents were Martin Rupe born 1765 in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania & Christina Zircle born April 8, 1769 in Shenandoah Co. Virginia. They married in Shenandoah Co. May 27, 1789. Martin Rupe died Oct. 26, 1829 in Gallia Co. Ohio. Christina Zircle Rupe died in 1838 also in Gallia Co. Christina's parents were George Adam Zircle & Elizabeth Ridenour, both born Pennsylvania. Martin Rupe's parents were Ludwig Martin Roop born Germany & Margaret Frey. They married in 1750 in Lancaster Co. Pennsylvania. Ludwig Martin died in 1800 in Shenandoah Co. Virginia. I've seen conflicting dates of death for Margaret Frey Rupe. Some list 1800 while others list 1822 in Pennsylvania.
