Hello Betty, Glad to hear from a relative! We have Jemima Walker (b.6 April 1846) married Joseph P. Davis (b.1824)on 1 Dec. 1870 in Pickaway Co., Ohio. In 1880 the census shows them living in Hocking twsp, Fairfield Co., Ohio. with the following children Sally Davis b. 1872, Frank Davis b. 1874, Joseph Davis b. 1876, Willie Davis b. 1878, and an older child, John Davis b. 1868. Note that his birth date is 2 years before the marriage date. I am sure that I saw her in the 1870 census living separately from her family with a 2 year old son. I will look for it to be sure of my facts. I didn't know where she died or was buried until now. Thanks for the info. You are the first of her descendants that we have heard from. We have some old photos of the Walkers from way back then, maybe you can help identify? Also have heard from other descendants you might be interested in. We cant' find Jemima's father's father. Do you have any information on who it would be?
