Durnbaugh/Middleton

Looking to fill in a mystery... It's one of those "Where did they go???"

Pearl Anette Durnbaugh, daughter of Andrew Durnbaugh and his wife Harriet Coy, was born in August 1884 in Greene County, Ohio. In the 1900 Greene County (Beavercreek Twp.) OH Census, she is fifteen and residing with her parents. Also, residing there is Pearl's daughter who is a three month old baby girl, born March 1900 in (Greene County) Ohio. The daughter's name is Seloa (or Selou) P. Middleton. No father is listed. The P might stand for Pearl since it is her mother's name. (BTW, Anette was the spelling I have found.)

I can follow Pearl's parents and brother forward in time, and have information on them.

I have searched for this mother Pearl and her daughter Seloa after 1900 and cannot find them. I cannot find any marriage records for Pearl Anette Durnbaugh and she is not in the Ohio Death Records or in the Social Security (Death Benefits) Records.

I have tried searching for Seloa with and without using her first name and with and without her middle initial (even tried using Pearl Middleton) to find if she is listed with her father -- to no avail.

It appears as if Pearl Durnbaugh and her daughter Seloa P. Middleton died. They are not in any censes after 1900. I checked the cemetery books for the cemeteries where Pearl's relatives are buried and nothing matches with either of them. I even looked for other Middletons.

Can anyone see if they can find a birth record in Greene County for Seloa? And perhaps look for a marriage record for Pearl?

I would appreciate any assistance solving this mystery.

Juanita
