The Bates family would include John & Laura their children Henrietta, Martha E, Mary J, Lucinda, Ida A & George. Lucinda's children Rosie Ann, Martha Ellen & Lillie Mae. Lucinda's never claimed the children and Lucinda lost them to the State. They were adopted out and the home burned, all records were lost. Rosie Ann went to a family named Patchin in Centralia, IL. Martha Ellen married a Lyle C. Morris of New Burlington, OH. Henrietta married a William Hill of same County, 2 children James A. Hill & John Hill. James A. married Eva N. Kline. I know of 8 children, Alice, Clarence, Eva, Archbald, Frank, Rosadie, Thelma and Elisabeth. I would appreciate info that can be found.
