Obituary look up for James Guthrie

Hello,

I was wondering if someone would be willing to do a look up for the obituary of my great-great-great grandfather, James Guthrie, in the newspapers in Highland Co., Ohio. I recently found a site which has not only what I believe to be his death date, 13 September 1874, but also where he's buried in Illinois.

However, James spent most of his life living in the area of Leesburg, Highland Co., Ohio, and five of his kids (including my great-great grandmother) were still living in Highland County when he died, so I thought that he may have had an obituary posted back in Ohio.

The information I have on him (if someone is willing to look, to verify it's the same one) is this:

James Guthrie was born 16 Mar 1801 in Campbell Co., Virginia, the son of James Guthrie (who d. 27 Feb 1848 in Leesburg) and Jane Candler. He died on 13 September 1874 in or near Belle Rive, Jefferson Co., Illinois, and was buried at New Hope Cemetery just south of that town.

He had 5 children by his first wife, Mahala C. Hardy (b. 1805; d. 1843 in Vermillion Co., Indiana), whom he married on 5 Feb 1826 at Leesburg:

1. Rebecca Jane (1 Dec 1827 - 17 Mar 1910), m.(1) Nathaniel Cox and (2) Daniel Walker; bur. Fairfax Cemetery
2. James Thomas (29 Mar 1830 - 11 Aug 1901), m. Maria Bernard Johnson
3. Mahala Almedia (11 Jun 1834 - 11 Sep 1919, d. in Council Grove, Kansas), m. William Harvey Hadley
4. Nancy Ann (4 Jan 1837 - possibly 15 Feb 1879, definitely before 1880, though), m. (1) Sebastian Hixson and (2) Joel Calvert
5. Sorency Bartlett (17 Apr 1840 - 25 Jan 1920), m. Sallie Holmes

He married his second wife, Maria Callihan (abt 1822 to Aug 1849), on 18 June 1844 in Vermillion Co., Indiana, and they relocated back to Highland Co. sometime prior to the 1850 census. James and Maria had at least one child (possibly two, if the "Charlotte Guthrie" who is listed in the 1850 mortality index is also theirs):

6. Rachel Alice, aka Alice Rachel, (22 Jun 1847 - 14 Jun 1903), m. William Covan

James married his third wife, Sarah Jane Huff (abt 1825 to ???) on 9 Mar 1850 in Highland Co., Ohio. He and Sarah had five boys, and possibly one daughter.

7. Marion Delmar (1 Dec 1850 - 18 Oct 1915, d. in Houston, TX), m. Clara Louella Laird
8. John Edward, aka James Edward (5 May 1852 - 28 Dec 1937, d. in Houston, TX), m. Maggie Griggs
9. Emerson L. (Feb 1855 - d. after 25 Jan 1920, lived in Evansville, IN), m. Anna ???
10. Sebastian C. (16 May 1858 - d. after 25 Jan 1920, lived in Houston, TX), m. Mary Ann Grant
11. Frank S. (29 Nov 1861 - 26 Feb 1939, d. in Seattle, WA), m. Lucy B. Smith
12. Luella.

If there are any other descendants of James Guthrie looking at this, you can view the information on the tombstone, and also see a photo of his actual tombstone, at http://jefferson.ilgenweb.net/cems/newhop.htm

I found James's information quite by accident, when I was looking up information on the children of his third wife, since two of them happened to be living in that particular county in the 1880 census, after having traced them back from the information in Sorency's obituary.

Anyway, sorry to ramble. Thank you in advance if someone does do the look up.
