I had that information Steve and thank you. Mine were Native American from NC, and if you have done genealogy long enough, you know through the census, that the census taker just did an eye ball deal, and that you can not take the census for absolute truth in things. I do have the dawes rolls that one of James' grand daughters filled out in 1904 I think it was and other records to show things. James was taught to be a shoemaker by some one in NC before he and wife went to Ohio. other places he said he was born in NC, and his children all said he was born in NC also, on records. I do appericate you looking for me. thanks Notify Administrator about this message?
