Hi John, In the 1836 duplicate tax listing there is listed in Good Hope Township the following: Goss, Martin, property range 18, township 13, section 24 Goss, Henry, range 18 13 24 The chattel list has: Goss, John, and Goss, David This means they owned a cow or horse(or maybe 2), but no property. The 1838 lists only Goss, Martin as property owner, and Martin and Henry as chattel owners. The 1839 listing shows Martin as the only property owner, but has Henry, Martin, and John as chattel owners. Under marriages I found in the index a Gofs(Probally sheould have been read as Goss-Kay) Gofs, John -Sarah Bougher Gofs, George-Pricilla Clutter These are in the 1818-1839 era. There are no Goss listings. In 1839-1859 listings I found: Goss, Sarah Ann -Ezra Hedges 1854 Goss, Zelda - Amos Lantz 1856 Goss, Patrick - Hannah Burns, 1841 Goss, David - Magdaline Frazier, 1846 Goss, Fanny - Jacob Stiverson, 1843 Goss, Margaret - Silas Poliing, 1943 1859-1871 is not listed by years: Goss, Martin - Lucinda Hansel This Martin later married Mary Yantes ( my husbands ggg aunt) Goss, Daniel - Cornelia Burge Goss, Eliza - William Wagener Goss, Christina - Joseph Inboden 1871-1880 Goss, Christopher - Lucy M. Tannehill Goss, Ellie - John R. Evans I know this is a lot of names that may not be the family you are looking for, but this will give you a start. Kay Notify Administrator about this message?
