Suspect Benjamin and Ephraim WOODS were the sons of Andrew WOODS. Andrew WOODS is found in the 1850 Ward twp.Hocking Co.,Oh.census born Va. Both Benjamin and Ephraim served in the 62nd OVI.Benjamin WOODS can be found,divorced in the 1880 Hocking Co.,Oh.census,in the household of John Shaw,wife Anna. Suspect Anna was Benjamin's sister. Benjamin WOODS ,widowed,is found in the 1900 Hocking Co.,Oh.census w/5 children,and one stepson. Benjamin's wife Martha(a widow w/2 sons from her first husband) died 1900 Hocking Co.,Oh. According to her 1900 obituary,she had 8 children with Benjamin,only 5 living by 1900,and 2 sons from her first marriage,George and Rias WAMER.Benjamin WOODS can then be found in the 1910 Hocking Co.,Oh. census,w/wife #3 Hannah,married 9 yrs.and 2 children. Benjamin WOODS died 1912 Green twp.,Hocking Co.,Oh. His obituary states he was born Ward twp.,Hocking Co.,Oh. and leaves 3 sons and one daughter.It states he served in Company H,62nd,OVI.He was buried in Soldiers Lot,Oak Grove in Hocking Co.,Oh.One of his sons,Andy WOODS was b.1890 Perry Co.,Oh.?,married Nora Stump,1909,Fairfield Co.,Oh. He was 19 and Benjamin signed for him. Parents of record were Benjamin Woods and Martha McDonald. Although research has shown Martha was a McDaniel.Stepson Rias WAMER married Jennie GLAZE,July 25,1900 Hocking Co.,Oh. Parents of record were Aaron WAMER and Martha McDaniel/McDonald.Looking for more information on this WOODS family as well as George WAMER b.1876 Athens Co.,Oh.and Rias WAMER b.1879 Athens Co.,Oh.Jennie aka Alcinda Jane GLAZE was born 1878 Hocking Co.,Oh.however,no one can find a birth record for her. She can be found as Jane,age 1 in the household of George GLAZE b.1826 Va.(probably Wood Co.,)and wife #2 Eleanore LOVINA Donaldson in the 1880 Hocking Co.,Oh.census,as well as sons Arehart and Henderson.A daughter,Sarah GLAZE b.1861,married Benjamin HOOD 1877 Hocking Co.,Oh.,can be found in 1880 Hocking Co.Oh.census w/(Ambrose?) HOOD and a daughter. George GLAZE was the son of Archart GLAZE b.1789 Md,married 1814 Wood Co.,Va.died May 25,1880 Hocking Co.,Oh. This Archart GLAZE is mentioned in the "History of Hocking Co." as an early church trustee in 1831.This family had at least 9 children,all found in early Hocking Co.,Oh.records.Hoping this will be of interest to someone.
