Last Will and Testament of David Lengacher
Blabgid in Holmes county, State of Ohio, february 11, 1871
Declaration of my will:
From David Lengacher, father from the hill, sane declared today before Emanuel Stocker, church elder, and Frederick Mitchhart, in right mind, that all his property and all his goods and chattells that is found after his death without exception shall not be distributed for a period of 6 write six years after his death and his wife Katherine Lengacher, born Imboden, shall be in undisturbed possession and have the right to sell or to use according to the need as it benefits her.

Appendix attached to will:
Should there be an opportunity within the (6) six years to get a good price for the land, the children with the consent of the wife may sell the above. This is my last will about my estate.
Remarks from Father Lengacher:
That the receipts from the railroad and coal mine may in short time increase the value of the land by one half and it would be sad for my family to sell below the price for I have acquired it through hard labor and sweat. It is my wish first of all I desire a friendly distribution among my family means more than great riches. Keep real friendly together, this is my last wish, god be with you all.
