I invite you to check out a new site, the Ohio Gravestone Photo Project and help with its growth as Holmes County can only grow with everyone's help.
The Ohiogravestones.org site, as its called, is a wonderful tool to preserve the headstones of our ancestors. With the advent of time and weather and vandalism, our headstones are disappearing at an alarming rate. We need to work on
preserving a digital image of our family stones as a fitting tribute to our ancestors.
The Ohiogravestones.org site is an easy-to-use site that exists to make this preservation possible. Additionally there is no cost to the contributor, a difficult thing to find in this day and age where everything costs something. It also can serve as a great backup to all those tombstone pictures you have. Plus there are NO annoying, flashing and popping ads to drive you nuts.
Particularly valuable are those very old headstone photos that you have in grandmas photo album. Scan them into your computer and add them to the Holmes county site at Ohiogravestones.org as they may be the only testament to your ancestors life. Share them with the world.
Holmes County has no pictures at the present. I need your help so the site can grow.

I am your Holmes County coordinator and I want to help with the project in anyway that I can. I am also a country coordinator for Meigs Co., I received my experience there. I look forward to us making great strides towards growth in the number of pictures online for Holmes County.
