There is more than one Joshua Hinckley listed in the Hinckley Cemetery. We have these stones Row 22-- 2. Hinckley- "Grandmother"; 3. Hinckley- "Grandfather" Hinckley, Joshua, d. 15 Mar 1838 age 69y Hannah, his wife, d. 3 Apr 1853 age 84y Hinckley, Benjamin H. d. 1 Mar 1894 age 83y Maria, his wife, d. 20 Jan 1896 age 85y Children of H. & M. Hinckley: Mary, d. 29 Aug 1838 age 5y Joshua, d. 3 Oct 1844 age 2y;;; There are no listings for any Gere/ Gear in the cemetery book. There are several listings for Geer. None in the Hinckly Cemetery. There are 2 Geer in the Hester Cemetery, Bronson Twp., Mary Geer b. 1762 Groton CT; d. 2 Jan 1857 age 95y 1m 22d; Abagail (Geer) Smith, w/o Nehemiah Smith, b. 1766 Groton CT, d. 2 Dec 1856 age 90 y 3m 4d; These two are buried next to each other;;; Grove Street Cemetery, New London Twp., Geer, June G. 1848-1936 Father; Geer, Adah, 1859-1932 Mother; Geer, James A., 1893-1962, Hazel F., 1911-(1992 -found death date on SS index); In the Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk Twp., Geer, Louisa (Jones) 27 May 1830-11 Feb 1859; The other 3 listed were b. in/or after 1900.
