There is a Mary Speaker listed as a domestic, aged 26, living with the Walbridge family. The Wakefields are also listed. Is it possible that when Speaker died leaving Mary Evans Speaker a widow, she went to work for the Walbridge family and gave her son up for "adoption" to Captain Henry Kelley, surely a friend of his?
