Hello,
I'm researching the Davis and Short families in Jackson County. In particular I'd like to find the marriage record for John Davis and Clorinda Short, who I believe married between 1860 and 1867.
John Davis was born in Wales on 3-15-1836. Clorinda was the daughter of George and Hannah Short, and was born around 1844.
John and Clorinda had the following children:
George Davis, born about 1867
Charles Lawrence Davis, born 3-12-1874
Samuel Davis, born about 1876
Corrie E. Davis, born about 1879
John had previously been married to an unknown woman and had the following children:
William Davis, born about 1859
Sarah "Sarry" Davis, born about 1860

(*perhaps this is our John Davis, living just a couple of doors down from the George Short family, however son William should have been born by 1860, but is not listed here)
