Information about Harrison Dixon (1828-1888) and Jane Harvey Dixon (1827-1906) given by Jesse W. Johnson of Woodburn St., Milwaukee, Wis. Feb 1932 to Ben F. Dixon and published in Dixon's genealogy OUR BOOK. -J.W. Johnson was mar to Ada Hammond a daughter of Jasper F. and Ella Mae (Dixon) Hammond and granddaughter of Harrison and Jane Dixon.- -Harrison Dixon was son of Joseph and Rachel (Wilkinson) Dixon, born Jackson Co., Ohio 05 Feb 1828 and died near Toulon,Stark Co., Ill. 10 Feb 1888. He had mar on 08 April 1849 to Jane Harvey born in England 23 July 1827 to George and Elisabeth (Kinder) Harvey. She had come to this country with her parents when 9 years old. Jane died in Peoria, Ill. 29 Oct 1906. Children of Harrison and Jane were: 1. Rachel born Ohio mar Martin White. Died in 1919; 2. Ausman born in Ill died in 1919; 3. George E. born in Ill 05 June 1860 died 1929 Peoria, Ill.; 4. Ella Mae mar Jasper N.S.F. Hammond, born 06 Sept 1864 Stark Co., Ill., died 26 April 1929 Kenosha, Wisc.; 5. Joseph Kinder Dixon mar Lydia Ann Stamm. Born 01 Feb 1870 in Ill.(was living in Peoria, Ill. in 1932); and Alice born Ill. died 1925. --Ben Dixon's genealogy has information on Harrison ancestry and some of his descendents but I believe you are searching for a different Harrison Dixon. Maybe this information will help you sort out the different families. I am a descendent of Nathan Dixon a brother of Joseph Dixon.
