You are pretty accurate on the info of the Dixon families. They are mentioned in the histories of Ross County. There were two sets of three brothers; and they were cousins. My line is Samuel. His wife was a sister to the other three; Daniel, George, and Jonathan. It has never been proved that Jonathan was in the area. No records for him here but church records do include a brother Jonathan. The other Nathan you mentioned that was in Ross County early, in area that became Jackson County was a son of Jesse. Most all his family went west, first to Illinois and on to Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, etc. There was another clan of Dixons that came into Jackson Co. a little later; just before 1820. They seem to have come out of Virginia whereas the others came up from North Carolina in 1803 or 4.
