Terry success at last, my 1854 map of Stokes twp included part of Paint twp and the cemetery on Correll Maxey RD is marked on my map. It was located behind the school and on Buffenbarger land. So in 1917 probably was the Crawford Farm. So there were two cemeteries on Buffenbarger's farm. There was supposed to be a town( Hardscrabble) built near the Maxey School but it no longer exists. I have seen a plat map for it and I will see what else was there. Joseph Stroup was living on the corner of Harrold RD and what is now ST RT 41 in 1854. The John Stroup land was owned by David Stroup in 1854. thanks Pat Notify Administrator about this message?
