Many thanks, Pat. I'll follow-up on the Hutson-Denton-Kilgore connections in those surname forums.

Found the schoolhouse (S.H. 5) in the 1875 plat map and will make a note of your info regarding location of cemetery on the Stroup/Colburn property line to the Stroup forum for other "John and Mary Stroup" researchers.
