No mention in Jonathan Denton's military records of who his parents were or his birthplace or where he and Sarah Hutson married. I can tell you that I am certain that he was one of 15 Rangers in the U.S. Army under the command of Capt. Parmenius/Parmenas/Parmenus Beckes who was killed in what is known as Spur's Defeat. See
