I am descended from Skinner Hutson's son John Kelso Hutson and Hannah Mahaffey. Their daughter Jane married William Smith Gaskill, my gg grandparents. My siblings and I live in SW Ohio and are researching the line further. I joined DAR using Skinner as my patriot. I'm not able to add anything more on the daughters of Skinner than appears in the Littler Book but my sister may be of help to you. mmer2000@mics.net
I would appreciate any Gaskill help especially Bible records. Jane Hutson Gaskill McIntire, died in South Solon, Madison County, Ohio in 1911 at the home of her daughter, Hannah Gaskill Maxey, wife of Stephen Maxey. She was buried in the South Solon Cemetery but the grave was not marked nor recorded in the cemetery records. We have the notation from the newspaper account of her death. If a Gaskill or Maxey can document this with a Bible record or other type of record I would appreciate this. I was also passed by my Gaskill first cousin a picture taken about the time fo the Civil War of a family group that we cannot identify. If a Gaskill, Maxey, Hutson, etc. are interested I will see you get a copy.
