Hi all, I have been searching for the parents and birthplace of my Ggrandfather Henry Shaver for many years. I only know he was born somewhere in Ohio about 1823. His sister Sarah was born in NY about 1820. They were back in Manlius, NY at least by 1845.
Recently, I found there was a Henry Shaver, Sr on the Tax rolls of Marion Co Ohio in 1832. I wonder if anyone knows anything about this family? Does the census for 1830 show this family with a boy and a girl 10 or younger? What town did they live in? Did this Henry die there? When my Henry and Sarah got back to NY Sarah lived with her brother and stayed with him until after they moved on to IL about 1856 and she married in 1864.
Any help would make my day and thanks!
