Looking for any information on the following:
Neptune, Center Twp, Mercer County
Edward Kelly b. c.1820 somewhere in New Jersey
m. Elizabeth Poling May 8, 1854, Mercer Co, Ohio
4 children--William b.1856, Emma b.1858, Amos b.1860,
Anna b.1862 (Amos and Anna could be reversed)
m. Catherine Polan Sheets sometime after 1862--pre-1870
Catherine Sheets had previous marriage to Philip Sheets and had several children including Mary Jane, Nancy, Samuel, John, Jacob. They came from Fairfield County to Mercer County.
d. 1890 consumption
William Kelly, s/o Edward and Elizabeth, married Mary Jane Sheets (listed as Mary Jane Fast apparently from a previous marriage of hers) in 1880.
2 children: Elizabeth Kelly, b. 1881, Rushus Edward, b. 1882.
d. 1890 typhoid
Anna Kelly died of consumption 1886 without having been married.
I am looking for any information concerning what happened to Emma Kelly, and Amos Kelly as I have no further information on either of them. Also looking for the graves of the family members who died prior to 1900. It was thought they were in the Neptune Cemetary, but there is no record found so far of that. New information has placed Edward Kelly as first deacon of the Neptune Church of God and that is being researched now, thanks to the help of the present church. Ernest Kelly is listed as deacon in 1918 after having been converted in 1911. Could Ernest be the son of Amos?
I would also love to find out who Edward's parents in New Jersey were. Census records say his father was born in Ireland and they differ as to the birthplace of his mother, either Ireland or New Jersey.
