Friedrich/Fritz (Fred) Wollin, born 13.July 1857 near Stettin in Pomerania/Germany was the brother of my great grandmother Wilhelmine Wollin, born 1872 in Kolow, Kreis Greifenhagen, Pomerania. Their parents were Christian Friedrich Wollin and Louise Lunow.

I have only just now found out about Friedrich and would like to come in contact with some of his descendents to learn more about that part of the family.
He came to the US 29.Aug.1881 with the ship Katie from Stettin, his wife Auguste (born 1854) with two children Paul (2) and Fritz (7m)followed on 7. Sept.1882. In the 1900 census they are listed as Fred and Augusta Wollen, living in Cleveland, Cuyahoga, Ohio with their younger children Clara(*1888), Ida(*1890), Willie (*1892?) and Emma (*1897). Fred Wollin died 20 Nov.1909 in Cleveland/Ohio, and his death certificate gives the names of his parents (who were my great-great grandparents.

There was also a second brother who emigrated and I am wondering if it could have been August Frd (Friedrich?) Wollin who arrived on 29 Nov 1882, 27 years old, with his wife Emilie, 25, and the children Wilhelmine, 4, Anna, 3 and Maria, 9m, also on the ship Katie from Stettin.

I would like to hear from anyone who can give information on these people.

Kind regards,
Svenja Nitsche
