Am looking for any information on Smith and Elizabeth MANN listed on the 1850 census in Cardington Township, Morrow County, Ohio.
Three children are listed with them, Margaret, Gideon, and Martha HERDMAN. I am researching my HERDMAN family and would like to try to find out if these children are Elizabeth's from a previous marriage, or if they took the children in. My great-great-grandfather, John Hilis HERDMAN, was born in Cardington in 1851 or 1852, and these are the only HERDMANs listed in the 1850 census.
Any information would be helpful. Have not paid a lot of attention to this line in quite some time and would like to make some headway on it.
