Hi Tisha...I'm not related, but I found the obit for Dell Stinchcomb's wife, Carrie, and it says that her parents were James P. and Mary (Newell) Kelley. According to her obit dated December 14, 1936, she was born in Zanesville but spent almost her entire life in New Lexington. She was 65 years old. The obit says that she was the wife of Judge W.S. Stinchcomb, but I'm guessing that this is a typo since the census records and other articles say that Dell (Delwin W) was the husband of Carrie and that he was a probate judge in Perry county. I found one tidbit that says he died while in office in November of 1920. Survivors were her daughters, Mrs. Noble B. Smith of Columbus and Mrs. James H. Lowry of Clearfield, PA.and one son, Dr. James Stinchcomb of Pittsburgh. Also, one sister Miss Margaret Kelley of New Lexington and one brother, Charles Kelley of Youngstown. It didn't say where burial was going to be. It looks like the Dr. James Stinchcomb mentioned passed away in 1945 at the age of 45. It says that he was the former principal of New Lexington high school, and when he passed away, he was the head of the department of classics at Pitt university. He was survived by his widow, Catherine, a son Derwin and a daughter, Helen. Two sisters, Mrs. Noble Smith of Columbus and Mrs. James Lowry of Ridgeway, Pa. Perhaps this is the James A. Stinchcomb in the picture you have? The obit said he was 45 years old, but according to the census records, Delwin and Carrie Stinchcomb's son, James A. Stinchcomb, was born about 1897. I hope this is helpful in some way. :) Kelly Notify Administrator about this message?
