On 31 October 1848, Margaret KING married Basil (Bazil, Basel) GORDON. Basil was the son of John and Nancy (Rinehart) GORDON, was born in Greene County, PA, and moved the Perry County in the 1830s.
I am trying to find the parents of this Margaret and her birthdate. After their marriage, Margaret gave birth to a son Benjamin, probably in August 1849. She died shortly afterwards. I have not located a burial record.
The widowed Basil and his infant son Benjamin were located in the 1850 census in Reading Twp, living with Basil's sister Charlotte and her husband Simon Strosnider. Benjamin does not appear in any record after 1850 and apparently died. Basil died in 1862.
