Passing along an obit for my METZGER line, in case anyone else could use it:
The Times Recorder (Zanesville, Ohio), April 15, 1962
Willard I Metzger
Willard I. Metzger,67, of Somerset died at 2 pm
Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospital after a lingering
illness. Mr Metzger was born July 21, 1894, in Somerset, the son of Jacob and Martha Snider Metzger and was a
retired shovel operator for the Belden Brick Company
near Somerset. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church at Somerset.
Surviving are his widow Stella; a daughter, Mrs
Pauline Helser of Somerset. two grandchildren. Two
sisters,Mrs Gertrude Harris and Mrs Mary Cochran, both
of Newark and a brother Eldin [shd be Edlin] Metzger of
Somerset.
The body was removed to the Thomas Funeral Home in
Somerset where friends may call. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
