I am looking for more information on David Jenkins and his ancestry. I was curious if your Jenkins are related to mine...
David Jenkins was born c.1832 in Ohio and married (1) Elizabeth Woods? c.1854. Elizabeth was born c.1836 in Ohio. He married (2) Gemima Unknown c.1871. Gemima was born c.1835 in Ohio.
His children include: Viola (c.1855), Julia (1858), Mary E. (c.1860), William (c.1866), Rose B. (c.1869), Charles A. (c.1875), and Adna (c.1877). Julia Jeanette Jenkins married Catherinous Hays 1Feb1880 in Putnam County, OH.
I have found David Jenkins in the 1860 Jackson County, IA; 1870 Morrow County, OH; and 1880 Putnam County, OH, censuses. I believe he served in the Civil War, though I am having trouble determining which David Jenkins he is. He was buried at Old Cascase Cemetery in Putnam County, Ohio.
