The family of James and Malinda Chandler of Virginia appear in the 1850 census in Ross County. Oldest son Albert Bell is not enumerated with them and is thought to have been teaching school somewhere in Ohio at that time. Children in the household were James, Louisa, Sidney, and John. The family moved to Sangamon County Illinois by 1855, but I have no information about Malinda, John, or Sidney after 1850. Malinda had brothers in Ross County, last name Bell. James and Malinda also had daughters Caroline (m. George Riley April 1848 Ross County), and either Rachel or Celia. Seeking any information about this family.
