I am genealogy researching my 5th.-Great-Grandfather-JAMES SHORT,a Veteran of the American Reveloutionary War. born in Virginia on Oct. 7th. 1756 moved to Mercer County,Kentucky then on to Union Twp.Ross County,Ohio before moving on to Union Twp.Fayette County,Ohio to settle and die. My 5th.-Great-Grandmother died in Union Twp.Ross County,Ohio. James married his second wife my 5th.-Step-Great-Grandmother-REBECCA (COOPER) SHORT in Union Twp.Ross County,Ohio on Jan. 13th. 1825 then they moved on to settle and died in Union Twp. Fayette County,Ohio James died there on Dec. 12th. 1836.I came down through James Short's daughter MARY "POLLY" (SHORT) WALKER & husband THOMAS WALKER my 4th.-Great-Grandparents they was marred in Ross county,Ohio on April 12th.1812 also, and they moved on to western Indiana then on to settle and die in Crawford County,Illinois.Would appreciate any information on the SHORT-WALKER,or the COOPER families.Please contact; James Anthony"Tony"Keltz,Sr. (Ancestral genealogist) 10636 Long John Silver Trail.*Rocky Fork Lake* Hillsboro,Ohio 45133-8341 U.S.A.
