Robert E. Mankin, 75, of Chillicothe, died 10:04 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born May 10, 1934, in Ross County, to the late Burl and Della LaGore Mankin. On December 24, 1953, he married the former Fannie L. Tackett who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Jim (Kerry) Mankin and Randy (Debbie) Mankin, both of Chillicothe; a daughter, Helen (John) Milliken, of Frankfort; grandchildren, Josh (Brandy) Mankin, Dustin Martin, Shawn (Danielle) Mankin, Kelli Mankin and Jamie Mankin; great grandchildren, Corbin, Kyler, Bayleigh, Brennan and Cade; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother and father, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Jim Irwin; and by a sister, Roberta Brockmeyer.
Bob retired from Sears.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2009 in the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Willard McCray officiating. Burial will follow in Caldwell Cemetery. Friends may call at Ware's from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
