I am looking for information about this family. Elijah is a disabled CSA veteran who brought his family to Greer county, TX sometime after 1886 and before 1898. Elijah and Rutha bought land from Elijah's father in Lavaca County, TX in 1886. No record of the sale date.
Rutha and their daughter, Maggie died in 1898 and were buried on the farm somewhere near the dugout home on the farm near Delhi.
Elijah was born 2/3/1839 in Noxubee MS, died 2/17/1917 in Runnels, TX
Rutha was born on 4/30/1849. She became a ward of the Lavaca county Court of Estates with Elijah's uncle as the administrator and protector of Rutha in 1858. The 1870 Lavaca county census has Elijah and Rutha living on land given to them by Elijah's Uncle and Aunt,James and Malona Wilson.
They had 6 children;
Minnie Wilson, born 4/15/1872, died 1928 Tulare Co, CA
Mark Wilson, born 4/16/1876, died about 1904, Gray Co, TX
Jimmie Rhuhema Wilson Bobo Marshall, born 1/20/1877, died 2/28/1962, Pawnee Co, OK
William Wilson, born 12/15/1878, died 1938, Salinas, CA
Janet (Nettie) Mary Wilson Hardnock (my Grandmother) born 2/12/1881, died 10/12/1965, Omaha, Cass Co, NE
Maggie Wilson, born 9/3/1882, died 1898, Greer/Beckham Co, TX/OK
Any help in finding the location of this farm and gravesite would be appreciated.
