WRIGHT family members of William Allen Wright, circa land rush in OK...Watonga, Blaine CO., OK.
We are looking for any of our ancestors.
Some moved to KS, others to CA, MO, CO, TX, and Canada.
I need to know if oil drilling is going on at our old Wright homestead. Supposedly the land is on the same section as the Evergreen Cemetery in Watonga, Blaine County, OK.
We hold the mineral rights on:
Northeast quarter of Section 10, 16N, 11W
It's the same section that the "Evergreen Cemetery" is on.
I spoke to someone at a nearby Funeral Home who said they just had a funeral at Evergreen and there is nothing but cows and trees where I'm talking about.
Anyone close to there?
Someone tried to buy our mineral rights in 2003, but a cousin in California sent someone out there was they reported back that drilling for natural gas was going on.
Any WRIGHT family members in that area?
