I am interested in any information concerning the family of August Henry and Christina Hinkel. Two daughters included Amanda, and Helen Elizabeth. All 4 imigrated to the U>S> from Germany in 1887. Evenually, they migrated to the Okeene area where they owned a farm. Amanda married married Charley Dumler; they remained in the area. Helen married August Robert Berndt; moved away; had two children, Leo and Gertrude;after his death, Helen returned to Okeene to care for her aging parents; Leo and Gertrude Berndt went to school and graduated from high school in Okeene. Any information would be welcomed.
