Hi Kathy:

I don't know a whole lot about the Gardners in OK, but this is what I have someone else connected with this family: Eliza Gardner married Walter William McCurry - date or place, I don't know. There may have been a first marriage to someone named Beale, and the McCurry marriage was a second marriage for Eliza. The Eliza I refer to is the daughter of Martha Reynolds and Moses Gardner, who were originally from Webster County KY.

Do you have more information about the Gardners in Bryan Co.? I have heard that Moses Gardner had brothers, possibly one who was a physician (?), but I am not sure where in OK they settled.

Moses Gardner may originally have come from Eastern KY, possibly a community called Sandy Hook, to Webster County KY (western part of the state), where he married Martha Reynolds.

My main interest in the family is on the Reynolds side (I am descended from Martha Reynolds' sister, who remained in KY).

If you do have more info on Gardners in Bryan Co. who came from KY, let me know....it might help to determine where this family came from in eastern KY.

Thanks,
Becky Rice
