If you get an opportunity to go to the Oklahoma Historical Society (about NE 20th and Lincoln Blvd) in Oklahoma City, they have newspaper archives on microfische that are sorted by county. I imagine you could request a look up from them, but it's quite fun to read the old newspapers from the old days, especially the old ghost towns. Hopefully the information you seek could be found there.
