Does anyone have an idea where the town of Lone Oak is in Coal County? My mother always said that was where she was born (1920) but I can't find it on any map. I'm pretty sure it was around the Tupelo area as that is where she grew up later. It could be that Lone Oak was a rural school area and my mom just thought it was a town. My grandparents died in Tupelo and I plan on making a trip there this spring and would like to try and find the town of Lone Oak. Any help would be most appreciated.
