Joy, William Boyd Harl was my grandfather. He was born in 1845 not 1945. He also died in 1916, not 1919, when my father was 2 1/2 years old. There was a small notice in a newspaper as well as another one a few weeks later telling that the man who killed him was found to be acting in self-defense, and I have a copy of it in my file box. I am not at home right now and will not be home for a couple of weeks. I remember the name of the newspaper had something Indian about it. ????? Messenger, I think. When I get home I will look it up and let you know. I tried to find Harl Springs a few years ago. No one up there ever heard of it.I'll be glad to share what I have about my Harl line. I'm looking for William's parents and have been for years.
