They weren't military as far as I know or have been told.Mary Jane was part Indian but I doubt if she was registered as an Indian because none of the others were as far as I can find out.Mary Jane's great grandmother was full blood Cherokee so we have been told but no one has found proof yet.I will check with someone else about the military angle and let you know later.
