I have some new information about my Grandfather Alexander Cockrell.I have spoke to his youngest son Floyd cockrell of TX. He said the family was living just outside of Drumright(1929) in a town called Rosebud when his Dad was murdered.Family stories tell that he was hanged by Mexicans, but my Uncle Floyd says he was hung by a white man that he knew.
Why is this not out there in the news papers? He was burried somewhere at the North Cemetary in Drumright, but all the records were burned. Can anyone help with this 80 year old unsolved murder? Thanks. Danny Cockrell.dcockrell@netzero.net or danny@karrgo.com (512) 644-5327.
