History on Lawter Oklahoma

I am looking for information on the town of Lawter, OK. My GGrandfather lived their and wanted to know alittle history about the town. My GGrandfather was James Meeks. Could have come into Custer county under the alias name of James Story or James Storey. He might have been a preacher at that time.
