Just now reading your message to me. Sorry I didn't see it sooner.
I can check some of the old yearbooks for your grandfather at our little research center.
I'm not sure but that the college was the teacher's college. They would go there to get their teaching cert.
email me at Kim1@hintonet.net & I'll get you the phone number for the First Baptist Church, the Sec has some records but not sure they would go back that far. You can call them & tell them the name you are interested in & they will check there records.
